Consider: Newsletter as Conversational Hub
Add "reader responses" or a periodic "community question" in the newsletter, then feature responses on-site. Lower lift, higher signal. TACSI does this well with their newsletter-to-website pipeline.
Caution: Full Community Platform
Circle, Mighty Networks, Hivebrite require ongoing moderation and content seeding. Unless you have dedicated staff, it risks feeling empty — which is worse than not having it. Recommend revisiting later.
